Shopping online is more popular than ever, and now some people are even buying pets online. With the click of a mouse, you can shop for the exact puppy you're looking for much less than pet stores charge.


 

Faces of adorable puppies available for adoption on the web. Some real, and unfortunately, some not. A viewer called us to tell us of a puppy ad that's not up so snuff.
John Markee was searching for a new puppy after his beloved pet died. He searched Cleveland.com and found an ad for an english bull dog.

When he researhed it further, the alledged owner was in Nigeria.

He asked John for 200 dollars for the dog and 100 dollars for shipping. It ends up the ad is not legitimate. Hundreds acrosss the country have sent ther money and have not received a puppy! More..
The Orlando Sun Sentinel has been blogging about this story for over a year.

Deputy Managing Editor Ann Hellmuth said this, "I was amazed at the number of people that have been suckered in by this scam it seemed obvious why would you go to nigeria to get a dog."

Markee never sent any money he just wanted to warn the public.

The ad on Cleveland.com has been pulled.
